Important Information
- A reservation fee of £100 per team is required to secure your team's place at the finals.
- The reservation fee will only be refunded to the team manager at the tournament. Teams that do not attend will lose their reservation fee.
- Team entry fee is £30, mens singles is £20 per entry and ladies singles is £10.
- This year a separate entry form is available for the mens and ladies singles event.
- Entry fees are payable prior to the tournament and are non-refundable.
- All accommodation must be fully paid for by the 7th November 2008 - if not, your place may be offered to another team. Any problems, please contact us ASAP.
- Team draws etc will be done prior to the event and published in advance, hence our need for early confirmation of team attendance.
- Your accommodation reference number will be sent to your team manager after your team has been accepted and registered.
Entry Criteria
Team entry is just £30 Any team suspected of breaching the below qualification criteria will be investigated and may be disqualified. We may ask players to provide proof of their identity and permanent home address before any prize monies are paid. Teams that have been found guilty of cheating will forfeit any prize monies won.
Five Player 'Team Entry Criteria'
- Teams are to consist of five players (teams can be of mixed gender) with up to three reserve players.
- Teams can change their players and order of play between matches, utilising reserve players etc. - an order of play sheet must be submitted before each match during the tournament.
- In urban areas, all team members must live within 8 radius miles of their nominated pub/club. Areas are deemed urban if they have a population of 25,000+.
- In rural areas, all team members must live within 16 radius miles of their nominated pub/club.
- If any team member does not fall within this residential qualification, please apply for an exception to the rule in writing to 'BAPTO Team Applications', UK Pub Pool Limited, Spring Valley Mills, Stanningley, West Yorkshire, LS28 6DW.
- No professional players are allowed entry into this tournament.
- Only ONE adult male 'A' international player is allowed per team including reserves - no limit to 'B' or 'C' team players, under 18's or ladies.
- Any player who has played for their country in 2007 or 2008 will be deemed an international player.
Men Singles
Mens Singles entry is £20 per player
- Mens singles is limited to 256 players. Players must register using sepwerate entry forms. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
- No professional players may enter.
Ladies Singles
Ladies Singles entry is £10 per player.
- Ladies is limited to 64 players. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Tournament Format Team Format
- 128 teams split into groups of four to play a round robin.
- Round robin - each match consists of 10 frames.Teams win points for either an or a draw.
- Two teams with most points from each group enter the finals knockout.
- Bottom two teams enter the plate cup.
- Knockout stages are best of 11 frames.
Singles Format
- Mens and ladies singles will be a straight knockout, playing the best of five frames throughout.

All matches at the BAPTO finals will be played to the new WPA Black Ball rules.

Terms & Conditions
1. Registered teams who have paid their reservation fee must book their accommodation by the 7th November 2008. There is a limit to club accommodation, single and group rooms - early booking ensures your choice of room.
2. Failure to book accommodation by the 7th November 2008 may result in your place being offered to an alternative team. Reservation fees are non-returnable to teams who have failed to book their accommodation.
3. A full list of special conditions will apply only at the finals event and will be posted to qualified teams in due course.
4. Any complaints must be lodged in writing to the organisers, either to the tournament director during the finals or sent via our contact form
5. Team draws will be done prior to the event and published in advance.
6. Players must book a minimum of 3 nights accommodation. Players to arrive afternnon/evening on Thursday 13th and commence play at 9.30 a.m. on Friday 14th.
7. Dress code - Players must wear trousers, shoes and a shirt with a collar whilst playing in any main event. Sports atire will not be tolerated. Any player found in breach of the dress code will be ejected from the arena.
8. Players are required to play within the spirit of the game and behave in a sporting manner. 9. All players and their guests are deemed ambassadors of our sport. Behaviour that jeopardises the sport will not be tolerated.
