The 2026 programme

Two weekends, two team trophies

Weekend one ● Thu 29 Oct — Sun 1 Nov

Three Player 'Halloween' Novice Trophy

For emerging talent and pub players, with team entry criteria that keep it genuinely novice. Sunday knockouts decide it.

Weekend two ● Thu 5 — Sun 8 Nov

Five Player Amateur Team Trophy

The classic amateur team competition and the centrepiece of the weekender — the direct descendant of the 1977 Grand Finals.

Singles

Individual competition alongside both team events.

Doubles & ladies

Mixed doubles and ladies' events, both with their own prize funds.

Hainsworth Speed Pool Trophy

Quick-fire frames on Hainsworth Precision cloth.

Formats, entry criteria, prize fund breakdowns, schedules and live results are published on bapto.co.uk. Live scoring runs on livepoolscores.com during the weekends.

Who plays

Pub leagues first, always

The Grand Finals began as the place league winners went to find out who was best. That is still the spine of the event: sides who play their pool on a Tuesday night in a pub, given a national stage for a weekend.

Teams and players from Ireland, France and Spain have competed alongside British sides since BAPTO's membership went international.
